🛠 Product basics
How does VoiceClip work?
Install the Chrome extension, open a LinkedIn conversation with a voice note, click the "Transcribe" button that appears next to it, and get the transcript in your clipboard in about 5 seconds. Pro users can push the transcript directly to HubSpot, Pipedrive, or Salesforce.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is needed for the free tier (10 transcriptions/month). Pro requires an account so we can track usage and billing, created via magic-link (passwordless).
Does it work with LinkedIn Sales Navigator?
LinkedIn inbox at v1.0. Sales Navigator support planned for v1.1 (Q3 2026). Recruiter Lite is on the roadmap too.
Which browsers?
Chrome at launch. Edge support within 2 weeks (same codebase). Firefox and Arc afterward. We'll prioritize based on user demand.
Mobile support?
Chrome extensions don't run on iOS or Android, so mobile is not supported today. The most common workflow is reading LinkedIn on desktop anyway for voice notes.
Which languages does it transcribe?
50+ languages via Whisper. Auto-detected from the audio — no language setting needed. Accuracy varies by language (best for EN, PT, ES; worst for low-resource languages).
🔒 Privacy & safety
What happens to my audio?
Audio is sent over HTTPS to OpenAI Whisper API for transcription only. It's processed in memory, the transcript is returned, and the original file is discarded in under 5 seconds. It's never written to disk on our servers, never used for training, and never retained.
Is OpenAI training on my voice?
No. Per OpenAI's API Data Usage Policy, data sent via the API is not used to train their models. We also don't opt in to any such programs.
Do you read my LinkedIn messages?
No. The extension only sees audio files you explicitly click to transcribe. We don't access message text, profiles, connections, or any other LinkedIn data.
Do you store my LinkedIn password?
Never. The extension runs inside your already-authenticated browser session. We never see, store, or transmit your LinkedIn password.
GDPR, LGPD, CCPA compliance?
Yes. We collect only the minimum data necessary (email for Pro accounts, usage counts for billing). You can request access, deletion, or export at any time by emailing privacy@voiceclip.app. Full privacy policy.

How much does Pro cost?
$12/month or $120/year (two months free). Waitlist members get the first 3 months free.
Is there a free tier?
Yes, free forever: 10 transcriptions/month, copy-to-clipboard, download as .txt. No credit card needed.
Team or volume discount?
Team plans ship in v1.2 (Q4 2026) — shared billing, SSO, admin console. For early teams of 5+, email us and we'll set it up manually.
Refund policy?
Full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions. Cancel anytime from your dashboard — you keep Pro access until the end of the billing period.
🔗 CRM integrations
Which CRMs work?
At v1.0: HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce. Close, Zoho, and HubSpot-enabled tools on the v1.1 roadmap. For custom CRMs, the Pro plan exports via Zapier/webhook.
How is the transcript added to my CRM?
We identify the LinkedIn contact, match it to an existing CRM record (by name + company), and attach the transcript as a Note on that contact. If no match is found, you pick from a dropdown.
⚙️ Technical
What transcription engine?
OpenAI Whisper via their API. Considered best-in-class for multilingual, noisy audio like voice messages. Typical WER (word error rate) is under 10% for clean English and 15% for noisy multilingual audio.
How big can the audio be?
Up to 25 MB (Whisper limit). LinkedIn voice notes max out at a few MB in practice, so this rarely matters.
💼 LinkedIn policy
Will LinkedIn ban my account?
We don't think so. VoiceClip doesn't scrape, automate, or send messages on your behalf. It transcribes audio you already have access to. That said, LinkedIn's policies are theirs to change — if they ever send a cease-and-desist, we'll comply immediately and migrate architecture as needed.
Is VoiceClip affiliated with LinkedIn?
No. We are an independent third-party tool. "LinkedIn" is a trademark of LinkedIn Corporation, referenced here only descriptively.
What if LinkedIn breaks the extension?
We architected detection via URL patterns (stable for years) rather than CSS class names (unstable). When LinkedIn reshuffles their UI, we usually keep working. If anything breaks, we ship a hotfix within 24h to the Chrome Web Store.
